Thee success of the Kobe Bryant signature line, among the best regarded of its era and arguably in the history of Nike Basketball, should really come as no surprise. However, expanding the Mamba name beyond just basketball has paid dividends, and speaks to the enormity of the late legend’s modern profile within Beaverton; just look at the series of Air Force 1 drops or some of the apparel that’s begun to trickle out. Yet even if the extracurriculars have been well recieved, the basketball vertical remains its bread & butter. A new face now looms to join the crowd as official images of the Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Halo” have touched down.

Though actually seeing the Retro model is noteworthy in its own right, we largely know what to expect from any new Kobe model at this point in the Protro process. Indeed, the tradition of ushering in a “Halo” all-white continues with the Kobe 3 Protro, this shoe retaining that snowy atmosphere uninterrupted with the slight exception of a black midfoot plate and a grey insole. Though typically we’d have to wait for SNKRS descriptions and the like to understand the hardware changes here, earlier looks dropped with its complete brochure. Indeed, the usual improved traction package comes with this pair, with additional changes for cushier tongue padding, a more breathable mesh composition, Cushlon 3.0 underfoot, and a new Zoom Air Strobel.

The Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Halo” is expected to release on August 23rd in adult and GS sizing — the latter is depicted below. Expect MSRPs at $210 and $130, respectively.  Catch official images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for more updates as we creep towards that launch.
