Styled after the contemporary Nike Mercurial Vapor IX, the original 2013 release is most well-known for the shift of the Swoosh, jumping from the quarter of the mesh-based silhouette to the toe in its adaptation of soccer style. With its Protro run-back confirmed to carry “Red Plum/Electric Green/Pink Flash” color codes, expect a true-to-life replication of that last-decade edition, replete with the wine-hue foundation and oversized Nike text.

Any additional Protro release in and of itself works as a solidification of a modern Kobe universe that’s only growing, but this football-inspired look additionally comes at a moment of cross-category synergy.
