IBF Asia Heavyweight champion Alessio ‘The Hammer’ Bisutti (14-1, 12 KOs) retained his title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Panya Chomphoophuang (23-17-1, 13 KOs) to capture the UBO belt at the Siam Stadium, Bangkapi, Bangkok, Thailand.

In the first round, Chomphoophuang would land rights to the body, then grab the 48-year-old Bisutti, being warned for holding. Bisutti is trying to land right on the chin. In the second round with hands to his side, Chomphoophuang had a better round, outlanding Bisutti.

In the third round, after a minute, Bisutti landed a right, and Chomphoophuang went down, but was ruled a slip. Bisutti won the round. In the fourth round, Bisutti kept after Chomphoophuang, landing right hands, while Chomphoophuang countered him.

In the fifth round, Chomphoophuang landed jabs, causing swelling under the right eye of Bisutti. In the sixth round, Bisutti had Chomphoophuang hurt with a body shot, causing him to hold throughout.

In the seventh round, Bisutti had Chomphoophuang near exhaustion, landing rights, and getting tied up. In the eighth round, the referee finally took a point from Chomphoophuang for continuous holding—another round for Bisutti.

In the ninth round, Bisutti again outlanded Chomphoophuang throughout. In the tenth round, Bisutti was pushed to the canvas by Chomphoophuang. For the rest of the round, Bisutti continued to lose another round in a sloppy fight. In the tenth, there was more holding than fighting. Unlike their first fight, which ended in a stoppage win for Bisutti, this one went the distance.

In the eleventh and twelfth and final rounds, Bisutti easily won both rounds.
