How to watch Thurman, Teraji, and Ball: Boxing schedule for Mar. 12-15

Wednesday, March 12th

PPV, 2:30 am ET, Keith Thurman vs Brock Jarvis. This one is a PPV in Australia through Kayo Sports, but that’s not a working streaming option for anyone trying to watch with a UK or USA IP address. Newer fans may have no idea, but Thurman used to be a fun, exciting, top tier welterweight until hand and arm issues pulled the emergency brake on his career. He fights for the first time in three years, and just the fourth time in eight years. We’re just a few days away, and everything seems to be on track… But, we’ve seen Thurman injuries scupper fights with Australians on very short notice before, so this isn’t a sure thing until Thurman actually steps through the ropes. Jarvis is a respectable domestic level guy, but he’s fought at less than 115 lbs. as a pro before. The Thurman that Thurman used to be would have feasted, and quickly, but it’s very possible his hands are nothing but balsa wood and cotton candy now, so you can’t rule Jarvis out. I’d wake up to watch it… But, given Thurman’s unreliability since 2017, I wouldn’t count on anyone paying a last minute licensing fee for a fight where the only US or UK name value comes from a guy who could get hurt and drop out if he takes a moderately aggressive high five during his ring entrance.

Thursday, March 13th

ESPN+, 4:00 pm ET, Kenshiro Teraji vs Seigo Yuri Akui. Excellent sunrise show here in the USA. Teraji headlines, while deeper on the show Anthony Olascuaga fights Hiroto Kyoguchi and Shokichi Iwata fights Rene Santiago, both for world titles. Given the start time, I’d expect all three, and maybe one additional, to air on ESPN+. BLH will have live updates

Friday, March 14th

DAZN, 3:00 pm ET, Blockone Sports. From Liverpool. Your main event is Bryan Collins vs Will Harrison for the BBBoC Central Area Welterweight title, currently vacant. Shannon Courtenay, last seen losing a tune-up sort of fight last October after almost two years out of action, tries to get some momentum with a six-rounder against 40 year old Bec “Lady Luck” Connolly (3-21, 0 KO), who enters on a five year, 15 fight losing streak.

DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Ring Wars 16. From Bethlehem – the Pennsylvania steel town, not the Jesus one. Euri Cedeno vs Ulices Rivera is your main event. Joseph Adorno and former Top Rank undercarder Bryce Mills appear in two separate undercard bouts.

Saturday, Mar. 15

DAZN, 2:30 pm ET, Nick Ball vs TJ Doheny. A Queensberry show from Liverpool called “Hard Days Night.” Feels like a missed opportunity for Frank Warren to put on a tight, top heavy showcase called “The Fab Five,” doesn’t it? Ball defends his WBA title for the second time, while Doheny fights for the first time since his September outing against Naoya Inoue. Hell of a six month stretch for that guy! Andrew Cain vs Charlie Edwards and Brad Strand vs Ionut Baluta are the notables lower down the poster. Leighton and William Birchall make their pro debuts, hoping to match the early success of brother and fellow Queensberry signee Nelson Birchall. BLH will have live updates

DAZN, 6:30 pm ET, Ammo Williams vs Patrice Volny. A Matchroom event from Jake Paul’s favorite Orlando hotel for boxing prospect shows. Williams only has one blemish, a loss to Hamzah Sheeraz. Volny is 35 and Canadian, with a sweet hairstyle and lush, bushy beard. Edgar Berlanga and Jamaine Ortiz appear in support fights, and 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Omari Jones makes his pro debut. BLH will have live updates

DAZN, 10:00 pm ET, Marvnation Boxing. Amado Vargas, son of Fernando Vargas, headlines in a scheduled eight rounder. Is he the “good” Vargas son? Well, his internet search results identify him as a “content creator” before they call him a “boxer,” so draw your own conclusions. Is it a good matchup? Well, Amado is already scheduled for another fight 42 days later. Lawrence King and Nathan Rodriguez also appear in support.
