The 2026 Champions League Final had to be decided by penalties, Kai Havertz put Arsenal ahead six minutes in, before Ousmane Dembele levelled from the spot on 55 minutes.

But as we said, there was trouble before, during and after the game, with police having to take action. Videos surfaced on social media on Friday night (29 May) showing trouble in Budapest with both fans clashing.
Police said in a statement, per The Athletic: “After midnight, a group of fans lit and threw flares in Kiraly Street, District VII, and several people got into a fight.
“A case has been opened against unknown perpetrators due to group disorder, within the framework of which the police are also analysing the camera footage, and the identification of the perpetrators is in progress.”
Three arrests included two Portuguese nationals and one British man on Friday after a fight broke out at the Champions League fan festival site, and have since been charged with disorderly conduct.
Police also state that a British male was arrested after he had climbed on to a car roof and damaged the vehicle.
A statement to The Athletic read: “At around 4 p.m., two Portuguese and a British man got into a fight at one of the gates of the Champions Festival. The police separated them and then took them into custody, where they were charged with disorderly conduct.”

Ahead of the game, it was revealed that Budapest had been preparing for its largest single-day police deployment with nearly 4,000 officers on standby, with tens of thousands of fans expected to turn up without tickets., according to newkerala.com.
