Everton’s summer transfer planning continues to develop as the club assess multiple attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Toffees have already been linked with a move for West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, with interest emerging as part of their search for proven top-flight attacking quality.

Bowen remains one of the most consistent forwards outside the traditional top six, having delivered double-digit goal contributions in each of his Premier League campaigns since joining the Hammers in 2020.

Everton are also still monitoring developments around Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney, with the club weighing up whether to make a new concrete move after his stellar season in the Championship.

Hackney’s passing range, ability to dictate tempo and composure in possession have made him one of the standout young midfielders outside the Premier League, attracting attention from several top-flight clubs.

Everton have already had an approach for the 24-year-old, who was named Championship Player of the Season, rejected. However, the saga could still have more twists to come yet.

The Toffees are in pole position.

As Everton continue to explore both attacking and midfield reinforcements, attention has now turned towards an international forward with experience across multiple European leagues.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Everton are among the clubs to have recently requested information about Marseille attacker Timothy Weah.

Galetti reports that Marseille consider the USA World Cup star an important part of their long-term project, but also note that a significant offer could still lead to serious discussions.

Weah, the son of former Ballon d’Or winner George Weah, has built a career that has taken him across several top European leagues.

He came through the PSG academy system before gaining first-team experience in France, and later moved on loan to Celtic, where he made a strong impression during his spell in Scotland.

At Celtic, Weah featured regularly both domestically and in Europe, contributing four goals and an assist from wide positions while showing his ability to operate across the front line.

His performances in Glasgow helped establish his reputation as a direct, pacey forward capable of stretching defences and providing versatility across attacking roles.

Weah later moved to Lille and then Juventus before continuing his career in Ligue 1 with Marseille, where he has become part of a squad competing at the top end of French football.

Internationally, Weah has also been a key figure for the USA national team, earning 53 caps so far.

One of his most memorable moments came at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when he scored a standout goal against Wales in the group stage.

The finish, a calm strike after a well-timed run behind the defence, drew widespread praise at the time.

Legendary former Brazil star Pelé, who sadly passed away in late 2022, was among those to highlight the quality of the goal, describing it as a moment of real class during the tournament.

That strike helped set the tone for a strong group-stage campaign for the USA, with Weah playing an important role throughout the competition.

Everton’s interest in the ‘aggressive’ forward comes as the club look to add pace and directness to their attacking options, with David Moyes seeking greater variety in the final third.
