Madrid Closing In on Bournemouth’s Star, Huijsen

The news of Madrid planning on a new chapter with Alonso as their head coach, replacing Ancelotti, is well documented already. Although there’s no official news just yet but it’s just a matter of time before the Spaniard will start his adventure at Santiago Bernabeu.

Preparing for the new boss’ arrival, Madrid reportedly is set to sign a new defender with Bournemouth’s Huijsen as the target. According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, both clubs have already reached an agreement regarding the Spanish defender’s transfer term.

Although he only joined the Premier League side last summer and is under contract until 2030 but he is available for transfer because of the clause in his contract. Huijsen has a release clause worth 50 million pound which can be triggered by any interested clubs.

Los Blancos are not wasting time with the opportunity, as Romano stated that they already held talks with Bournemouth and agreed on the transfer payment structure. Alonso is reportedly keen on securing Huijsen as soon as possible, knowing there are plenty of competitors among English clubs.

Seeing reports that Bournemouth and Madrid have agreed on a deal, the move looks to be edging closer to completion. This is because of the following reports stating that Huijsen himself has set Los Blancos as his priority among other potential suitors for next season.

The young defender, who always relishes his connection with Spanish football, is certainly keen on being part of a top club in the country, such as Madrid. Notably, with the imminent arrival of Alonso, who is open to playing young players, Huijsen believes that he can be an important player already for Los Blancos.

Madrid are eyeing to close the deal quickly as they would want the 20-year-old to be part of their team for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup tournament. After their failure to win titles this season,
