Here’s a look at some stats and minutiae following Week 7 of the 2026 NWSL season. We’ll keep evolving this space every week to try and keep you informed. Have an idea or an addition? Hit me up: @thedanlauletta on Bsky or X.

All statistics reference regular season games only, except where noted.

Individual stats:

Temwa Chawinga’s hat trick on Sunday was the first of her NWSL career and the first regular season hat trick for the Current. Kristen Hamilton did the deed in a 2023 Challenge Cup match.

Chawinga’s three goals gave her 29 at CPKC Stadium. Opponents have a total of 27.

Mimi Van Zanten’s goal for the Wave made her and her sister Kiki the fifth set of sisters to score in NWSL. The other four are: Kristie and Sam Mewis; Alyssa and Gisele Thompson; Madison and Riley Tiernan; and Tess and Meg Boade.

Barbra Banda has now scored in three straight games and has eight goals in eight games. She did not extend her streak of braces after becoming the only player to double up in consecutive games without her team earning a point.

Kate Del Fava passed the 60-game mark on Wednesday and 61 on Sunday. That’s how many regular season games the current Royals have played, and Del Fava has played every minute of all of them. That puts her minutes streak at 5,490.

Mina Tanaka assisted on both Royals goals Wednesday night against the Dash and is the first player in the history of the current Royals with a multi-assist game.

Yazmeen Ryan assisted Janine Sonis twice for the Summit on Saturday against the Dash. That marks the first time a Summit player has had two assists in a game, as well as the first Summit brace.

Jordan Silkowitz has now started 20 consecutive games for Bay FC, the most in the club’s short history. She also produced her second straight clean sheet and ran her shutout minutes to 225, breaking her own club record.

In Utah, the Royals are suddenly a brick wall. Mandy McGlynn earned her second and third straight clean sheets since rejoining the starting lineup and has her minutes streak up to 391. Including Mia Justus’ contributions, the Royals have five straight clean sheets and 468 shutout minutes as a team.

This week’s debutante was Ivy Younce. The 2025 Conference USA Player of the Year at Liberty came on in the 85th minute for the Courage. Unfortunately, she was on the field two minutes later when the Pride scored the only goal of the game.

Claire Emslie made her first appearance in exactly a year when she returned from maternity leave in a reserve role for Angel City on Saturday. Emslie gave birth to a son in December.

Kaleigh Kurtz has now played 122 consecutive regular season matches and 10,942 consecutive minutes. Both are far and away league records. The streaks began on June 26, 2021, while playing for the Courage(the unrounded number is due to a rain-shortened match in 2023).

Team stats:

The Washington Spirit have now won five games in a row, matching the club record set that spanned 2021 and 2022. They will go for six on Friday night in San Diego.

The Royals won and drew in a pair of games last week, which extended their winning streak to five and then brought it to a close. One more game without a loss will be their eighth in a row and tie their record from the back end of last season. See above for their team shutout information.

Angel City have lost four games in a row for the first time — after a 3-0-0 start to the season.

The Stars have been shut out three times in a row. It is the fifth time that has happened, including once earlier this season. They have never gone four straight games without scoring. Bigger picture, the Stars have been blanked seven times this season, one short of the dubious club record set just last year. They are 46 minutes from the team record of 355 straight minutes without a goal, set last year.

Gotham have now conceded three goals in two matches against expansion sides Denver and Boston (0-1-1) and two goals in seven matches against everyone else (4-1-2).

The Reign have not scored since March. That covers four games and 409 minutes. They were once shut out in five straight games, in 2024.

Checking in on the Golden Boot race:

Barbra Banda (Orlando): 8 goals

Ashley Sanchez (NC): 5 goals

Lia Godfrey (SD), Melissa Kössler (Denver), Natasha Flint (Denver), Olivia Moultrie (Portland), Reilyn Turner (Portland), Kiki Van Zanten (Houston): 4 goals
