Starting in Monaco in June, the Porsche Supercup will once again be part of the support schedule at selected European Formula 1 race weekends in 2026.

The eight-race calendar for the 34th season of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup has been announced. The 2026 Porsche Supercup calendar features eight races, all of which are expected to take place during European rounds of the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The locations of all but one of the eight races on next year’s schedule have been confirmed, with the one-make series set to visit Monaco, Barcelona, Austria. Belgium, Hungary, the Netherlands and Italy. The location of the final round is yet to be announced.

Aside from the addition of the yet-to-be-announced location, the only other change to the calendar for 2026 is the omission of Imola, which hosted Formula 1 for the final time in 2025. For the second year in a row, Silverstone missed out on a place on the calendar.

F1 fans are in for a packed support bill at many European F1 races in 2025, with Formula 2 & Formula 3 both on the track schedules at most of the events where Porsche Supercup is also present, with the exception of the Dutch Grand Prix.

Alessandro Ghiretti Wins the 2025 Porsche Supercup Title

With three race wins across the 2025 season, French driver Alessandro Ghiretti claimed his first Porsche Supercup title, out-scoring championship rivals Robert de Haan and rookie Flynt Schuring. Schumacher CLRT became team champions for the second year in succession, once again finishing ahead of 2023 champions BWT Lechner Racing.

A new challenge awaits in 2026, where teams will compete in the brand new Porsche 911 Cup, which replaces the Type 992 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup which was introduced to the series in 2021.

Over Three Decades of Porsche Supercup Racing

The Porsche Supercup was first contested in 1993 and has always been held as a support series to Formula 1. It first supported F1 at the 1993 San Marino Grand Prix. The series primarily takes place in Europe, though in recent years it has been on the support bill at the Mexican Grand Prix, the United States Grand Prix and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The series’ list of champions in recent years includes Rene Rast, who who won three successive titles between 2010 and 2012 before going on to race in DTM and Formula E; sports car and touring car star Philipp Eng; and Earl Bamber in 2014, who went on to win the World Endurance Championship title alongside Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley in 2017. The Porsche Supercup has also attracted plenty of famous names as guest drivers in the past, including Mika Häkkinen, Richard Burns and, in more recent seasons, Michael Fassbender and Patrick Dempsey.

In November 2022, Formula 1 confirmed that Porsche Supercup will remain on the Grand Prix support schedule until at least 2030, following the signing of a new deal between Porsche and F1.

As part of the continuation of the agreement signed between Formula 1 and Porsche in 2022, Porsche Carrera Cup Japan and Porsche Carrera Cup Asia also appear on the schedule at Formula 1 events in their respective territories.
