Formula 1 fever will start early this year in Mexico City, when the internationally acclaimed and award-winning immersive experience, Formula 1 Exhibition opens its doors to the public on 20 March 2026 at the iconic Yama Punta Museo.

Mexico City becomes the ninth city and second location in Latin America after Buenos Aires to host F1 Exhibition. The global tour first premiered in Madrid, Spain, where it became the country’s top selling temporary exhibition in 2023, before highly popular tours in Vienna and London, where it was awarded “Best Visitor Experience” at the 2024 Access All Areas Awards.

The revered show has also visited Toronto, Oberhausen in Germany, Amsterdam and most recently in Melbourne, Australia where the show made its Asia Pacific debut.

With the Mexico City Grand’s Prix festival-like atmosphere, Mexico has developed a love and passion for Formula 1, amassing 48 million fans. The Grand Prix has sold out every year since its return to the calendar, and fans can expect another incredible event in 2026 when local hero Sergio Perez returns to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for his first home Grand Prix since 2024 with F1’s newest team Cadillac.

The Formula 1 Exhibition Mexico City will offer these devoted fans, and those new to the sport, the chance to experience Formula 1 away from the track, gaining a rare front-row seat to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.

Delivering a storytelling experience across six specially designed rooms spanning more than 2,000 square meters and developed in collaboration with award-winning curators, artists, and filmmakers, the Exhibition offers a unique insight into the extraordinary world of Formula 1.

The Mexico City edition will see the return of the show’s popular experiences as well as a new local room unique for the capital that will celebrate the country’s iconic track and its local heroes, including Mexico’s most successful driver Perez.

Fans will also get to experience Pit Wall, a spectacular cinematic and immersive experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1 history like never before.

They’ll also get to journey to Once Upon A Time In Formula 1, a gallery showcasing never-before-seen photography, historic F1 cars, audiovisual content, and original artefacts, transporting audiences through the most iconic moments that have defined the sport.

In Design Lab, visitors step inside the heart of a Formula 1 factory to discover how teams design and build their cars each season. Drivers & Duels will celebrate the sport’s most iconic drivers, legendary rivalries, and historic races since Formula 1 began in 1950.

Fallen Heroes is a room that pays tribute to the drivers who lost their lives in pursuit of glory at the pinnacle of the sport, while Survival explores Romain Grosjean’s dramatic 2020 Bahrain crash. This gallery features the remains of his Haas race car alongside a multi-screen audiovisual installation with exclusive interviews and previously unseen footage of the incident.

Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, said: “Since Formula 1 Exhibition’s debut in Madrid in 2023, the show has gone from strength to strength to attract over 1 million visitors. We are excited to continue to bring the story and history of Formula 1 to our fans and those new to the sport.

“Mexico City is a vibrant cultural hub with a true passion for motorsport, so it made perfect sense for it to be the next stop on the Latin American tour.”

Jonathan Linden, Co-CEO of Round Room Live and Producer of The Formula 1 Exhibition said: “We are delighted to announce Mexico City as the next host city of The Formula 1 Exhibition.

“Each edition recognises the local heritage and local heroes of its host location, and this will be no exception, celebrating the region’s deep connection to Formula 1.”
