Formula 1 makes a welcome return to Portugal in 2027, with the Portuguese Grand Prix confirmed to be returning at Algarve International Circuit after a six-year absence. With the first two races at the track held in front of limited crowd numbers, the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix will be the first full-capacity F1 race held here. Demand for tickets is expected to be high.
Below, we’ve outlined when tickets are expected to go on sale, where to buy tickets for the race and the best grandstand seating areas to choose from.
When Do Tickets Go On Sale For the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix?
The on-sale date for 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix tickets has not yet been announced. Race organisers say that ticket sales are expected to open “from mid-2026”, most likely around the time that the 2027 Formula 1 calendar is officially announced.
You can register your interest in purchasing tickets via the official circuit website, where you will be prompted to select your three preferred grandstands (see below for details about each stand).

Where to Watch the Action at the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix
There’s a wide selection of grandstands lining the circuit at the Portuguese Grand Prix. Algarve International Circuit benefits from big elevation changes – meaning that a large portion of the track is visible from the upper sections of some grandstands. Here are all the options!
Main Stand
The Main Grandstand at Algarve International Circuit is located directly opposite the pit lane. It’s where you’ll get the best views of the starting grid, the pit stops and the post-race celebrations. From the upper sections of this grandstand, around 70% of the circuit is visible. Given its premium location, it is likely to be the most expensive grandstand in the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix ticket offer.
Race organisers have confirmed that the Main Grandstand will remain the only covered stand for the Portuguese Grand Prix weekend, adding to its appeal.
Albufeira / North Stand
Comprised of multiple individual grandstands, the Albufeira / North Stand is located on the outside of Turn 1. It’s located at the heaviest braking point on the circuit. If previous races at the track are anything to go by, this will be a very exciting place to witness the opening lap of the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix!
Lagos Stand
Also comprised of numerous individual grandstands, the Lagos Stand is directly next to the North Stand but is located closer to Turns 2 & 3 than the opening corner. It takes its name from Turn 3, Lagos. Another great place to see the drama unfold through the opening sector.

Portimão Stands
There are two Portimão Stands at Algarve International Circuit – Portimão and Portimão 2. The Portimão Stand is located slightly further around the track than the Portimão 2 Stand. It gives views of the drivers exiting Turn 9 and heading into Turn 10, named Portimão.
Arguably the better of the two Portimão grandstands, the upper sections of Portimão 2 will give fans the opportunity to see the cars between Turns 4 and 8, before heading into Turn 9 on the fast approach directly in front of the grandstand.
Sagres Stand, Solverde Stand & South (Sul) Stand
These three grandstands are all in the same area of track, on the final blast towards the final corner of the circuit. Expect to see bold overtaking moves here as the drivers gear up to start the next lap. We recommend choosing Sagres or South (Sul) over the Solverde Stand. While the latter is located on the straight section of track between two turns, the Sagres Stand is located at the exit of Turn 14, while the South Stand gives the best views as drivers tackle the final corner.
General Admission
General Admission viewing areas at the circuit are located between Turns 11 & 14. Without a reserved seat, general admission passes are cheaper than grandstand tickets. You will have the ability to choose from a range of viewing areas – but be sure to take your place early, especially on race day – to secure the best spots!
It has not yet been confirmed if General Admission access will be part of the ticket offer at the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix.

Hospitality Tickets for the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix
Circuit Hospitality: Algarve International Circuit will have its own hospitality offerings at the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix. Expect the offer to include access to the VIP Tower, located in the middle of the track with privileged, elevated views across the circuit. The venue has four floors, executive boxes, terraces and a restaurant. Elsewhere around the circuit, a VIP Lounge has exclusive views of the finish line, while the D. Ermelinda Room is situated at the highest point of the Race Control building.
F1 Experiences Packages: Formula 1’s official travel and experience partner is expected to offer both grandstand and hospitality packages for the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix. Enjoy access to a range of insider activities, like pit lane walks, paddock tours and paddock access, soak up the views from exclusive viewing area and enjoy gourmet cuisine in F1’s unrivalled Paddock Club.
