Known for its status as a global hub for technology and innovation, Singapore’s vibrant cityscape and proven track record of hosting world-class events make it the ideal location for this inaugural STEM Racing event.

With Singapore’s global appeal and the thrill of the Formula 1 night race, this year’s finals are expected to attract a record number of participants – organised into teams of three to six students – functioning as miniature F1 outfits and undertaking all aspects of team management.

This includes designing, manufacturing, and testing miniature Formula 1 cars, which teams will race on the 20-meter STEM Racing track. Additionally, teams will develop their own identities, closely mirroring the professional Formula 1 teams.

Ellen Jones, Head of ESG at Formula 1, said: “Over the past 20 years, STEM Racing has inspired students around the world to pursue careers in engineering. We are proud to support a program that celebrates values that are central to Formula 1 – teamwork, innovation, and problem solving. As F1 celebrates its 75th anniversary, we look to the future, and through competitions like STEM Racing, we hope to find the next generation of talent to push the sport forward.”

This year’s competition will also mark the debut of the Aramco STEM Racing World Champions trophy, to be awarded for the first time to the top-performing team. Alongside this respected accolade, teams will compete for over 20 category awards, recognising achievements across various judging elements, with each award supported by Formula 1 teams and industry suppliers.

Khalid A. Al Zamil, Aramco Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, commented: “Last year’s Aramco F1 in Schools World Finals, which was held in the Kingdom, showcased how much talent exists in the next generation of engineers. With the STEM Racing team, we aim to equip young pioneers to engineer a brighter future. There is no better way to celebrate our continued partnership than with an exciting world-class finale at the end of September 2025.”
