Formula 1 will continue to race on the Las Vegas Strip until at least 2037 following the signing a ten-year contract extension for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Formula 1 has announced that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until at least 2037 following the signing of a ten-year contract extension. The deal was signed between Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., Clark County officials, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
The Las Vegas Grand Prix, which takes place on the 6.2km Las Vegas Strip Circuit, was first held in 2023. It is the only event on the F1 calendar which takes place on a Saturday night. It first joined the calendar on an initial three-year deal, which was later extended for another two years covering the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

The event differs from others on the calendar as Formula 1 itself acts as a promoter. Speaking about the new deal, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali talked about the sport’s long-term commitment to the Las Vegas project:
“We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come. Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers. It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community. We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market. I would like to thank Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County, and the LVCVA for their continued support, passion, and vision. The future is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to taking this event to even greater heights.”
Aside from the Grand Prix weekend, F1 has also invested in the area with its Grand Prix Plaza, a 39-acre, multi-use complex housed within the area that hosts the F1 paddock on race weekend. It features an F1 Drive karting experience an immersive F1 X exhibition, F1 simulators and the F1 Hub, home of dining, shopping and lounging.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix now has one of the longest contracts of any event on the calendar. Albert Park, host of the Australian Grand Prix, also has a contract which lasts until 2037, while the Miami Grand Prix and Austrian Grand Prix are the only races which are signed up for longer. Both Miami International Autodrome and the Red Bull Ring will appear on the schedule until at least 2041.
The news was celebrated ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, with Formula 1 putting on Europe’s largest ever drone show above Port Hercule in the principality, featuring 3,050 drones.
