Formula 1 goes racing at Silverstone this weekend for Round 9 of the season, an event that will also see the Sprint make its return. Several teams are set to run upgrades at the British Grand Prix – but what parts are each squad planning to use? F1.com has rounded up all of the details…

Mercedes

After sporting a couple of updates one week ago in Austria, Mercedes have opted not to bring any new parts to this weekend’s event.

Ferrari

Ferrari are using an updated rear corner at Silverstone. The increased cooling inlet and outlet sections, updated lower deflector and re-optimised rearward winglet cluster are all aimed at improving performance in local load and cooling.

McLaren

Of the front-running teams, McLaren lead the way in terms of updates this weekend. The reigning champions’ upgrades list features changes to the front corner and floor furniture, with the former seeing a new front brake duct introduced – which the team are hoping will result in “improved flow conditioning and gain in aerodynamic load” – while a revised floor board in the latter is aimed at improving flow physics and a gain in overall efficiency.

Red Bull

Red Bull delivered a particularly significant upgrade package for their home event in Austria, but the team are bringing only one update this time around – that being an updated rear corner, with the cascade wings in the rear wheel bodywork winglets being revised to “improve the load characteristics and stability”.

Alpine

No updates have been submitted by Alpine at Silverstone.

Racing Bulls

An updated floor corner and diffuser geometry has been introduced at Racing Bulls, the target being to “generate more load and provide increased performance”. There will also be a new forward deflector geometry on the rear corner, aimed at improving local flow conditioning and floor performance.

Haas

Haas’ Ollie Bearman recently suggested that the squad have been “out-developed” by their rivals – so the team will be hoping for a boost from their two upgrades this weekend. The rear wing profiles have been “comprehensively revised”, they have said, with the aim being to improve performance in local load. The rear wing endplates have also been refined with the introduction of external protrusions, targeting better flow conditioning.

Williams

Williams are bringing a new front wing geometry for their home race. This will feature updated profiles and endplate surfaces, aiming to “generate an increase in local loading combined with an improved flow field interaction with downstream components”.

Audi

There are no upgrades listed for Audi at Silverstone.

Aston Martin

As is now well known, Aston Martin are planning to bring a big upgrade package to the Hungarian Grand Prix, meaning that there will be no changes for the local team this weekend.

Cadillac

Like Red Bull, Cadillac delivered a sizeable list of updates in Austria – but the American squad will not bring any further new parts to this event.
