Tickets for the public pit lane walk on Thursday, June 25 (15:20-17:30) are now on sale

Arguably the most picturesque circuit on the current F1 calendar, the Red Bull Ring is located on the side of a hill in the beautiful Styrian countryside. Access is relatively easy via the nearby motorway with mostly free trackside parking (or via free shuttle buses from the closest train station in Knittelfeld), and the organization is top notch.

Parking, Access & Orientation at the Red Bull Ring

Trackside Parking: The good news if you are driving to the circuit is that most trackside parking is FREE. You will be guided to the closest available car park depending on when you arrive and your arrival route. Arriving as early as possible is recommended. If you wish to park close to the main entrance, paid VIP parking is also available. More Info: How to Get to the Red Bull Ring

Entry Gates: Six access gates provide access to the Red Bull Ring, see the map below.

Circuit Zones: The Red Bull Ring is separated into Blue, Yellow and Green Zones. Certain areas are off limits without the right color ticket, though you can walk through the general parts of each zone to get to another zone. Check the 2026 spectator map with zones and grandstands here.

Security Checks (Prohibited Items): You are allowed to bring in plastic bottles, drink cans and food (for personal consumption). Folding/camping chairs are allowed in General Admission areas. Prohibited items include alcohol, glass bottles, flares, animals and barbeques. The full list of allowed and prohibited items inside the Red Bull Ring at the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix will be available closer to race weekend. (Click here for 2025 Red Bull Ring Admission Criteria.)

Trackside Radio: Tune into Ring Radio on 92.3 MHzs for live commentary and updates throughout the weekend.

Download the Red Bull Ring app: The “Red Bull Ring” app has the full trackside schedule, map, parking, transport and access information, plus details about this year’s trackside activities.

2026 Austrian Grand Prix Schedule

Full On-Track Schedule: The full on-track schedule for the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix will not be confirmed until around six weeks before race weekend. Confirmed F1 sessions are listed below, and are unchanged from 2025. Support categories are also unchanged, meaning this year’s schedule is likely to be very similar to 2025. (View the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix schedule here.)

F1 Sprint Race: Austria will not host an F1 Sprint in 2026.

Support Categories: Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup are the confirmed support categories for the 2026 Austrian GP.

Legends Parade: Unique to the Red Bull Ring, the Legends Parade features historic racing cars and drivers, normally from a single make. The 2025 Legends Parade had a movie cars theme, featuring classic cars from famous film franchises like James Bond, Top Gun, Fast & Furious and The A-Team.

Styrian Green Carpet: Similar to the Melbourne Walk in Australia, the drivers and team principals arrive at the circuit on race day (Sunday, 09:00-11:00) via the “Styrian Green Carpet” near the Welcome Center at the Red Bull Ring (behind the Main Grandstand). Get there early if you want some driver selfies or autographs

Pit Lane Walks: The public pit lane walk at the Red Bull Ring is a ticketed event, and you will also need to have a 3-day race ticket to participate. Tickets are now on sale for the pit lane walk at the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix, priced at €50 (last year, they cost €35). Due to a limited supply of tickets, we recommend buying as soon as you can – tickets normally sell out quickly. This year, the pit lane walk takes place from 15:20-17:30 on Thursday (June 25), with entry beforehand to the Main grandstand from 13:30. Arriving early means you’ll be able to enter the pit lane sooner! In addition to the public pit lane walk, F1 Experiences also offers an Exclusive Pit Lane Walk for selected guests on Thursday afternoon/evening. From Friday to Sunday, guests in the Formula 1 Paddock Club can take part in up to two pit lane walks daily.

Fan Zone & Steiermark Village

The main Fan Zone is located close to the South West and Red Bull Grandstands on the outside of Turn 1, about ten minutes walk from the Main Grandstand. You’ll find the best choice of food, drink and merchandise, plus a small stage with autograph sessions over the weekend. It’s also the location for the pits area of the Legends Parade, where you can get a closer look at this year’s machinery.

A smaller Fanzone called the Steiermark Village is located behind the Main Grandstand, see map above. Both fan zones have stages with live music, DJs and other performances. Both fan zones are open across the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix weekend weekend at the following times: Thursday 12:00-20:00, Friday & Saturday 08:00-22:30, Sunday 07:00-20:00. Opening times for 2026 will be confirmed closer to race weekend.

F1 Fan Forum

Appearances on the stage in the main F1 Fanzone won’t be confirmed until much closer to race weekend. 2025 info is listed below.

Appearing on the stage in the F1 Fan Zone on Thursday will be the support category drivers from F2, F3 and the Porsche Supercup. Also on Thursday will be several panel discussions on the stage focused on Women in Motorsport, Race Engineers & Strategists, and Personal Trainers & Performance Coaches. F1 drivers and F1 Team Principals will be appearing on the stage in the F1 Fan Zone on Friday and Saturday mornings.

For these sessions, we recommend getting there early if you want to get closer to your favorite drivers. Appearances, as well as concerts in the main F1 Fanzone and Steiermark Village, will be listed in the full schedule on the Red Bull Ring website and Red Bull Ring app.

Food & Drink at the Red Bull Ring

The best selection of food and drink can be found in the main fan zone behind Turn 1 and the Steiermark Village behind the main grandstand. Expect lots of tasty Austrian fare; schnitzel burgers and bratwurst were reasonably priced at around €10 and cheaper options were available. Large beers (500ml) are around €5 and there was an array of Red Bull products for around €4. Away from the fan zone, there are fast food outlets located behind most grandstands. The Red Bull Ring does operate a token/card system, but you can also pay with cash or card for food, drink and merchandise at the track.
