Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell married girlfriend Heidi Rae at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas on Sunday, Oct. 12.

The couple met nearly two decades ago but did not start dating until 2021.

“We met 18 years ago and life took us in different directions, but we found our way back to each other, and it’s beautiful,” the UFC Hall of Famer said.

Many in the mixed martial arts community celebrated with the couple including Forrest Griffin, Matt Hughes Luke Rockhold, Josh Thomson, Josh Koscheck and Herb Dean.

Liddell made his UFC debut in 1998 and retired 12 years later in 2010. He made a brief return to the ring in 2018 to face off against an old rival, Tito Ortiz. He became the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion in 2005 and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2009.

“The Iceman” was previously married to Heidi Northcott and the couple had two children together. He also had a daughter with MMA fighter Casey Noland, and another son from another relationship.
