Washington football projected to land fast-rising four-star Arizona RB

The Washington Huskies have moved quickly in their recruitment of four-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju.

Less than two months after originally extending an offer to the 6-foot, 215-pound product of Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Arizona, Jedd Fisch’s coaching staff has picked up a pair of crystal balls from Rivals’ Greg Biggins and Steve Wiltfong to acquire the services of the fast-rising running back, who had previously been projected to commit to the USC Trojans.

Adeyanju, who is ranked as the No. 255 overall prospect and No. 17 running back in the 2027 class by Rivals, has seen a major rise on the national scene since position coach Scottie Graham and the Huskies extended their offer. He now boasts 19 offers, with Arizona, Arizona State, California, Florida, Michigan, Utah, and Wisconsin all among the programs in pursuit of his services, but this has been a battle between Fisch and Lincoln Riley for several weeks.

Adeyanju was the only running back on campus for Washington’s Junior Day weekend on March 7-8 for an unofficial visit, and followed that up with an unofficial trip to Los Angeles to take in a Trojans spring practice before the projections for him to choose the Huskies rolled in on Saturday morning.

If the crystal balls are to come to fruition, Adeyanju has all the makings of a reliable ball carrier at the college level. He has a great frame that looks like it can withstand the rigors of the Big Ten and is surprisingly explosive for his size with impressive long speed, as his film consistently shows him running through wide open holes to go the distance.

Adeyanju would be the third offensive commit to join Washington’s 2027 class, alongside four-star wide receivers Braylon Pope and Zerek Sidney, and the second prospect from Arizona in the cycle to pledge his services to Fisch’s staff, with Sidney as the other.
