Toronto agreed to a multi-year extension with general manager Webster, the team announced Monday.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. However, as part of the agreement, Webster was also promoted to executive vice president of the club.
“We’re building something special here, and I’m proud to continue to lead the Toronto Raptors as we work towards our next championship,” Webster said in a statement. “Thank you to (MLSE CEO) Keith (Pelley) and the MLSE Board of Directors for their confidence and support. This is a franchise that’s focused on the future, and we’re ready for what’s next.”
Added Pelley: “Bobby has an elite understanding of the game and the NBA, and he’s used that to build a team that competes at a high level. It’s been an exciting year for the Raptors. They were a joy to watch compete together, and with Bobby and the Raptors, we’ve seen the results, and we believe in where his leadership will take us.”
The extension comes on the heels of a 46-36 season that saw the Raptors return to the playoffs for the first time since 2022 and take the eventual Eastern Conference finalist Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in the first round.
Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported shortly after the Raptors’ season ended that Webster would be extended.
In addition to Webster, the Raptors also announced contract extensions for assistant general manager Dan Tolzman, vice-president of basketball strategy and research Keith Boyarsky and operations lead Tyla Flexman.
Webster first joined the Raptors in June 2013 and is heading into his 10th season as Toronto’s general manager. The 41-year-old assumed full leadership of the Raptors in August 2025 after the dismissal of Masai Ujiri, who now runs the Dallas Mavericks.
Toronto has made nine playoff appearances since Webster joined the team in 2013 and won the NBA championship in 2019.
The team has a 591-455 regular-season record with five 50-win seasons under Webster.
