Big man Colin Castleton has been waived by the Raptors despite signing a multi-year non-guaranteed contract with the team on the final day of the season, the team announced Monday.
Castleton, 25, was part of the Raptors’ Summer League roster but had an uneven showing at the annual exhibition, averaging 2.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 11.5 minutes of action over five contests. He shot 33.3 per cent from the field and 33.3 per cent from three-point range.
The former Florida Gator split time bounced around the league last season, signing multiple 10-day contracts, two of which came with the Raptors. He eventually put pen to paper on a two-year, $2.29-million non-guaranteed deal with the team on April 13.
In 11 games with the Raptors, Castleton averaged 7.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 26.2 minutes a night. Over the full 2024-25 season, split between the Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers, he averaged 4.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 16.6 minutes.
