Former ESPN Host Sets Record Straight On UNC Banning Jordon Hudson

Meet Bill Belichick’s 24-Year-Old Girlfriend (1:20)

Earlier this morning sports journalist Pablo Torre reported that North Carolina was banning Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson from their facilities. The university has since denied that rumor, prompting Torre to defend his reporting.

“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University (of) Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University,” the university said in response to Torre’s initial report.

That response to his report has not sat well with Torre, who has been called all kinds of names in the hours since his show aired this morning.

Taking to X a short while ago, Torre declared that he stands by his reporting and “filed dozens of (Freedom of Information Act) requests that were not satisfied.”

“P.S. UNC can now choose to describe or change its position on Jordon Hudson’s involvement however it wishes, following the publication of our episode. We requested comment and filed dozens of FOIA requests that were not satisfied. And we stand by the specific reporting in our episode, which came from the highest levels of the football program,” Torre wrote.

The replies to Torre’s new post were a mix between people praising him for making the University of North Carolina publicly address the matter, and people continuing to mock him for false reporting:

“Well look at it from this perspective. Your episode went so viral that they had to now only comment but potentially change their policy based on feedback from your reporting,” one user wrote.

“Now, I’m wondering if Pablo reported the news or created the news. I hope it’s the former and not the latter,” wrote another.

“Poor Bill was this close to not having to deal with her at work,” a third joked.

“It’s okay to be wrong instead of doubling down on your wrong reporting.”

“Pablo the UNC statement clearly states that JH has not been banned from UNC football facilities. There is no ambiguity. Do you have specific evidence stating otherwise? If you don’t you will need to take the L here. And admit it for your own personal integrity.”

We appear to have reached an impasse here.
