Matt Rhule explains Dana Holgorsen’s impact on Nebraska football

At the end of last season, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule promoted former Houston Cougars head coach Dana Holgorsen from offensive consultant to offensive coordinator, which was a significant move.

Holgorsen is known as one of the best offensive minds of his era. He’s expected to be one of the main pieces in making quarterback Dylan Raiola and the Cornhuskers explosive next season.

As far as how Rhule views him, though, having Holgorsen around provides him a balance as a head coach.

“Dana is what I’m not. Dana is aggressive offensively. He wants to — there’s times he calls things and [I’m like], ‘My Lord, we’re doing that, Dana?’ He’s like, ‘It works.’ But I love it. I was so happy to get him,” Rule said on “The Pat McAfee” show on Thursday (h/t On3).
