One of the big reasons why Notre Dame has been able to shift its recruiting focus to the 2027 class, is due to the 2026 group being almost complete.

They are waiting on just one more prospect, defensive lineman Elijah Golden, who will make his announcement on Saturday and has been trending towards the Irish. There have been plenty of offers out to 2027 prospects, and on Thursday a new one was made to California wide receiver Quentin Hale.

The 6-foot, 3-inch and 175-pounder is one of the best players in the country, ranking as the No. 59 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite. August has been a great month for his so far, as he also picked up offers from Alabama and Georgia, while already having others from like Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and Oklahoma.

Hale had a huge sophomore season, with 63 receptions for 995-yards and 14 touchdowns. The Irish have done a much better job acquiring high school talent at the position, and could be adding yet another talented pass catcher to their roster.
