Ohio State football is putting work on the 2026 recruiting class and the next domino to fall may be a flip from a Big-12 powerhouse. The Buckeyes recently hosted three-star wide receiver, Brock Boyd on a visit last week and all reports seem to indicate that the Southlake Carroll High School star had a great time. He is currently committed to the TCU Horned Frogs, but few receivers in the country have the strength to turn away from Brian Hartline and OSU. Hartline was recently promoted to offensive coordinator and one would think that would only make Ohio State even more alluring to a young receiver prospect.

Boyd is a Southlake, Texas native who has been committed to the local TCU squad since last summer, so flipping him could be more challenging than most expect, but the Buckeyes aren’t the only school working to flip the 6-foot, 1-inch weapon. It has been noted that the Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Volunteers are also unloading to flip the future star.

Last season Boyd racked up 1,875 receiving yards on 111 catches while reaching the endzone 20 times. Adding another receiving stud like Boyd would be huge for OSU as it currently only holds commitments from two so far in the class of 2026. Boyd would fit right in with the already committed four-star tandem of Chris Henry Jr. out of California, who has been committed since the summer of 2023, and local star from Pataskala, Ohio, Jaeden Ricketts, who has been committed to Ohio State since last fall.
