Oklahoma State football assistant coaches’ contracts revealed: See who earns what

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State is set to pay its 12 assistant football coaches an annual total of just over $5.8 million for the next two years, according to contracts obtained by The Oklahoman.

All 12 coaches signed multi-year contracts, the majority of which are two-year deals.

Defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity agreed to a three-year deal that will pay him $1,102,275 per year. Additionally, OSU agreed to pay $291,496 for the buyout of Cassity’s contract at North Texas.

Drew Svoboda, whose titles include associate head coach, special teams coordinator and tight ends coach, also received a three-year contract for $675,000 per year.

The other 10 assistants signed two-year deals that will pay them each no less than $250,000 per year. Offensive coordinator Sean Brophy tops that list at $550,000 a year, followed by run game coordinator and running backs coach Patrick Cobbs and offensive line coach Cody Crill, each earning $500,000 a year.

On the defensive side, former Cowboy Greg Richmond is the top-paid position coach at $450,000 per year.

As previously reported, head coach Eric Morris is on a five-year contract that pays him $20 million over the life of the agreement. Additionally, general manager Raj Murti is on a year-to-year salary structure, earning $280,000 in 2026.

By comparison, OSU’s 12 assistant coaches were paid a combined salary of $5.55 million in 2025, with both coordinators earning over $1 million and no position coach making more than $400,000.

Defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity: Three years, $1,102,275 per year.

Associate head coach Drew Svoboda: Three years, $675,000 per year.

Offensive coordinator Sean Brophy: Two years, $550,000 per year.

Run game coordinator Patrick Cobbs: Two years, $500,000 per year.

Offensive line coach Cody Crill: Two years, $500,000 per year.

Defensive line coach Greg Richmond: Two years, $450,000 per year.

Receivers coach Nick Edwards: Two years, $400,000 per year.

Linebackers coach Reggie Johnson: Two years, $400,000 per year.

Defensive backs coach Julian Wilson: Two years, $400,000 per year.

Defensive backs coach Jordan Malone: Two years, $350,000 per year.

Assistant defensive line coach Ike Eguae: Two years, $250,000 per year.

Assistant defensive line coach Mike O’Guin: Two years, $250,000 per year.
