New web-hub provides centralized area for community programming

Field Hockey Canada is proud to unveil the new digital home for its successful Stick Together initiative: https://fhcsticktogether.ca/. The website is a centralized hub for community programs, resources, and will operate as an online community centre where projects can share success stories and resources as we continue to build on the incredible work taking place in communities across Canada.

Field Hockey Canada Stick Together, supported by the Government of Canada through the Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI), aims to break down barriers and grow field hockey across the nation by targeting underserved groups such as Indigenous peoples, Black, 2SLGBTQQIA+, low-income families, newcomers, racialized communities, and persons with disabilities.

The new web-hub will be a living centre for Stick Together, bringing communities across Canada together. From sharing success stories, to hosting resources, this web community will continue to grow and support all Stick Together projects in the years to come through providing a centralized location for information. To learn more, visit https://fhcsticktogether.ca/who-we-are/.

Part of this evolved support for Stick Together community programming is a new logo. A twist on Field Hockey Canada’s logo, the new Stick Together emblem shows two hockey sticks reaching across the shield shape towards one another, representing the national brand and the inclusive, united and nationwide appeal of the Stick Together initiative.

Get involved in community programming

Applications are now open for the next round of community funding! Field Hockey Canada is seeking clubs, schools, and organizations that serve underserved populations to apply for Stick Together grants.

Application Deadline: November 20, 2025

Funding Areas: Stick Together community projects focused on equity-deserving groups

How to Apply: Visit our recent announcement and apply via the online form.

This initiative is about more than field hockey. It is about building stronger communities and lifelong connections. Through CSAI funding, Field Hockey Canada is committed to supporting projects that deliver field hockey experiences to all, no matter background, income, or ability.

Success across the nation

Through the support of the Government of Canada’s Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI), Field Hockey Canada has secured $800,000 in funding over two years. Thie first disbursement of funding enabled the launch of 60 community-based field hockey projects across 10 provinces and one territory, reaching over 90 communities and serving almost 30,000 participants.

In Halifax, the Atlantic Field Hockey Club, with support from YMCA and ISANS, has engaged more than 300 newcomers and low-income families, delivering field hockey demos at 15 schools and free beginner sessions.

In Vancouver’s East side, the Hawks introduced school programs offering equipment and skilled coaching during PE classes, using modern formats to teach physical literacy, dribbling, and gameplay, fostering inclusive participation.

Learn more about successful programs in Canada here.

Explore the brand-new web hub now at https://fhcsticktogether.ca/, and join the movement to foster inclusion, belonging, and active participation through field hockey across Canada.
