Connor McDavid scored the winning goal in Canada’s 3-2 overtime victory against the United States in the championship game of the 4 Nations Face-Off on Feb. 20, 2025. Although the round-robin tournament was merely just a midseason exhibition, it was anything but meaningless to the participating NHL players from Canada, Finland, Sweden and the U.S.
The victory and title-clinching goal were just two more on an already long list of accomplishments for McDavid. The Richmond Hill, Ontario, native has been an offensive juggernaut since entering the NHL as the No. 1 pick in 2015.
