With her footwear focus soon to shift from Nike inline hoops to building out her own empire, new on-foots have been fast and furious in the opening days of the 2026 season and its prelude; a “Parent Trap” inspired Kobe 5, a similarly shaded Kobe 6, a “Coconut Milk” edition expected to be her next public release. Keeping with the entertainment inspo, Caitlin Clark debuted a “Sonic The Hedgehog” Kobe 5 in a win against the Storm. The spiny mascot’s royal blue takes over the quarter panels, bracketed by screen-accurate trim; white synthetic overlays for his gloves, a flash of red on the heel for his boots, and segments of bangle gold outlining the Swoosh, painting the heel, and on the tongue Sheath logo.
