How to watch Hitchins vs Kambosos: Boxing schedule for June 13-14

Friday, June 13

DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, Andrew Tabiti vs Jacob Dickson. An Amir Khan Promotions show from Ghana. Nice little lineup here, with Brandon Glanton and Ohara Davies listed in supporting fights, and a well matched bout between Theophilus Allotey and Daniel Gorsh for a regional WBO belt. Also, the second pro outing for Radoslav Rosenov, who caught our eye (and, briefly, our heart) representing Bulgaria at the Olympics last summer.

DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Overtime Boxing – OTX 14. Main event is LeAnna Cruz vs Regina Chavez. Kurt Scoby is also on the card.

Saturday, June 14

DAZN, 7:00 pm ET, Richardson Hitchins vs George Kambosos. For the IBF super lightweight title currently held by Hitchins. You’ll never find anyone more keen for a Kambosos fight than me… But, the fact is that the former UNDISPUTED LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD is a strategic counterpuncher. Here, he challenges Richie Hitchie, who usually fights the absolute worst, most tedious version of a jab-and-grab style. That’s usually as fun as a Dementor attack already, and Kambosos struggled twice to generate offense through a similar version of it against Devin Haney. But, Hitchins vs Liam Paro turned out shockingly watchable, so maybe we’ll get a pleasant surprise here, too. Andy Cruz, Tito Mercado, and Teremoana appear on the undercard. BLH will have live updates

YouTube, 8:00 pm ET, Dirty Boxing – DBX 2. Another round of Boxing/MMA hybrid action from Miami, where the defining characteristics of the ruleset are three minute rounds with four ounce gloves, elbow strikes, backfists, and legal striking on a downed opponent. They put together their first public show back in March, and they’re unfortunately once again running against George Kambosos. But, the visual style is very distinctive and the production value is fantastic, coming from Rich Gaughan (former Showtime/SHOBox/Stikeforce/Glory Kickboxing producer) and Rick Tugman (of a BLH Explainer interview that outlines his pro history). First prelims of a 12 fight card start at 7 pm Eastern, and it’s free to check out if we get the worst version of a Richardson Hitchins fight.
